Computational hysteresis in modeling magnetic systems
Simulations of magnetic and magnetoelastic behavior based on xnicromagnetic theory exhibit hysteresis. These magnetic systems have a highly nonlinear character involving short and long range fields. Computational results are presented and the role of various energetic contributions assessed and predicted using methods of contemporary nonlinear analysis.
متن کاملTunable thermal hysteresis in magnetic multilayers: magnetic superheating and supercooling
The phenomena of superheating and supercooling can lead to a thermal hysteresis curve where two states are stable over a range of temperatures. Here we present a simple magnetic multilayer system (Fe/Gd) that can be designed to show a thermal hysteresis curve. Calculations show that, with proper choice of parameters, the width, in temperature, of the hysteresis curve can be controlled by an ext...
متن کاملModeling of quasistatic magnetic hysteresis with feed-forward neural networks
A modeling technique for rate-independent ~quasistatic! scalar magnetic hysteresis is presented, using neural networks. Based on the theory of dynamic systems and the wiping-out and congruency properties of the classical scalar Preisach hysteresis model, the choice of a feed-forward neural network model is motivated. The neural network input parameters at each time step are the corresponding ma...
متن کاملMagnetic Hysteresis Modeling for Spice Simulations
Magnetic hysteresis is probably one of the most fascinating and complex physical phenomena. While (dynamically) quasi-linear magnetic materials are the basis of many practical applications (linear inductors, power transformer etc.), there exist several examples wherein the exploitation of non-linear magnetic materials is central to obtaining good signal detection performance. An example of such...
متن کاملModeling subharmonic and chaotic ferroresonance with transformer core model including magnetic hysteresis effects
Ferroresonance is a highly destructive power quality phenomenon caused by complex oscillations generated by nonlinear magnetizing inductances in ferromagnetic materials and capacitive elements in power systems. In an effort to better understand ferroresonance and predict bifurcations and responses, an improved nonlinear transformer model for dynamic and steady-state operating conditions is deve...
